India tour unites Cat and Dog for common goal 13-Nov-09

Red Dust was pleased to welcome Geelong Cats’ Jimmy Bartel and Western Bulldogs’ Tim Callan for our last visit to India for 2009.

Jimmy Bartel and his good mate, Tim Callan, a former Geelong Cat and now Western Bulldog, joined forces to work with the Red Dust team on their final visit to India for the year.

With Tim departing for remote Bapatla the day Jimmy arrived in Mumbai, the pair didn’t get to work together during the week, but they were united in their passion for the cause and the energy they poured into their efforts during the week.

Both shared their footy skills with kids who had never even heard of Australian Rules Football, with the kids picking up the basics very quickly. The two footballers also share a love of cricket and both led skills activities with the children, who relish any opportunity to play the beloved game.

Red Dust greatly appreciates the time and effort both Tim and Jimmy devoted to assisting the program, and we look forward to having them join us again.
