Lara was a member of the gold medal-winning 4x200 freestyle relay team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. No stranger to medals, she has been competing in the pool since 2000, amassing gold, silver and bronze along the way.

Based in Kingscliff, NSW, 25-year-old Lara is currently completing a bachelor's degree in social science (psychology) at Bond University.
