The cliché 'music is a universal language' is so true. No matter where we go, including the most remote communities of outback Australia, the culture and heritage of the people is powerfully expressed in music. Stories of creation, law, ceremony and celebration are often expressed in music and dance. Sometimes role models are privileged to observe and participate in a community's cultural celebrations.

Red Dust also uses music as a platform to express messages of good health, pride in culture and community and in helping youth with self-expression. Adam Thompson and Glenn Bidmead conduct music workshops which engage school children and older youth over a 4 day program. On the last night, a concert is staged and the school can 'show-case' the song and accompanying video clip they wrote, performed, filmed and produced. Music is a significant part of our 'Lifestyle Education Program'.
