Red Dust Role Models to attend the India International Sports Summit in March 2010 19-Feb-10

Red Dust Role Models is pleased to announce that they will be sending a contingent (Matthew Hayden, Kyle Vander Kuyp, Melanie Jones and Lara Davenport) to represent the organisation at the India International Sports Summit in Mumbai, March 24 and 25, 2010. The event is being held to create a larger awareness about sports in India and to emphasise the importance of developing sports at the grassroots level. The event is being staged by TransStadia, a start-up sports and entertainment company headquartered in Mumbai.

The summit has confirmed participation from the Chief Minister’s of two states – Maharashtra and Gujarat, the two most industrialised states of India. Other prominent delegates who have confirmed their attendance are the President of the Indian Olympic Association, the President of the All India Football Association in addition to other heads of sporting bodies such as Athletics, Boxing, Basketball, Volleyball and Rugby.

Red Dust is very excited to be involved in the summit and as a keynote speaker will be presenting on the topic ‘Community Building through Sports’. Our work in India is continuing to go from strength to strength with another tour scheduled for Mumbai in April as well as one in October to coincide with the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
