Bridget a’Beckett completed a Bachelor of Music (Vocal major) degree from the Australian Institute of Music, Sydney, and holds Grade 7 AMEB in violin and Grade 6 AMEB in piano. She then won an ensemble role in the touring season of ‘Cabaret’, starring Tina Arena, Lisa McCune and Nadine Garner. Ever the all-rounder, Bridget, as a “Kit Kat Girl”, was required to sing, dance and play solo violin in the ensemble/band.

Bridget has been writing songs since she was 15 and at the conclusion of ‘Cabaret’, launched her career as a singer/songwriter. Since then she has toured Australia, Europe and the US, and was a finalist in an SBS songwriting TV series and the International Songwriting Competition. She signed a development deal with SonyBMG and now owns and manages her own label through which she has released her debut album ‘The Wishing’. She has worked in music therapy, assisting in the development of a songwriting therapy program for mothers and children, and has worked as an early childhood music teacher. Throughout her amateur and professional life Bridget has directed numerous plays, musicals and vocal groups.
