Glenn has competed at state, national and international levels for all of his 17 years as a kayaker and has, at senior level, competed for more than ten years and in over 40 international events, with results and a career that he is very proud of. He has competed as an athlete for the VIS for 8 years (after being turned away at his first three scholarship applications) and as an AIS athlete for five years. In Glenn’s final Olympic team tilt he unfortunately suffered a stress facture in his spine due to an excessive (but required) training load. So after the personal trials and disappointments of 2008 he took on new challenges.

In conjunction with his sporting career Glenn has studied Business at TAFE and then Sports Science at Deakin University, as well as Sports Coaching (specifically canoeing) at the Hungarian University of Physical Education in conjunction with the IOC.
