Hannah was involved in competitive swimming from 1997 to 2009 and represented Australia twice at the Paralympic Games. At the 2004 Athens Paralympics, her dedication and commitment paid off as she received a bronze medal for her role in the 4 x 100m Medley Relay team.

Hannah was also given the honour of being a captain of the Australian Paralympic Swim Team for both the 2006 World Swimming Championships and 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games. In late 2009, Hannah competed at the first ever World Short Course Swimming Championships in Rio where she claimed a bronze medal in the 100m IM.

It hasn’t all been smooth sailing during Hannah’s sporting career; the journey has seen many hurdles to overcome including surgery, shoulder injuries, missing team selections by .8 of a second, and dislocating a knee cap only a week out from the Athens Paralympic Games. However, her positive attitude and outlook to life has seen her overcome adversity and learn from her experiences. As such, Hannah is now attempting to attend her third Paralympics, albeit in a different sport – Cycling.
