Jarrod is an Australia Rules Football player. Jarrod was born in Cairns where his mother and father moved to after growing up in Mooroopna, Victoria. He made his AFL debut in 2007 for the Western Bulldogs where his pace, skill and running abilities shone. At the end of the 2010 season Jarrod chose to join the Gold Coast Suns where he could return to Queensland and his family and begin playing on a newly established AFL side.

Jarrod has always been determined to help others and make a difference. During his teenage years he donated bone marrow to his brother who was fighting leukemia. Jarrod is now heavily involved in his community and charity work. Jarrod enjoys his work with youth especially; he works with young Indigenous Australians through organisations such as Red Dust where he connects to them through his sporting ability and Indigenous Australian background. He also works with young local talent in his Queensland area to help them establish a pathway to their dreams of playing professional AFL.
