Tour report:

Our yearly visits to WA and Expo are always highly anticipated, and this year was no exception. With the theme, ‘XTreme Youth Expo', kids from Warburton and surrounding communities were encouraged to challenge themselves - and that they did, with a little help from Red Dust and other Expo participants. The Red Dust team had its own challenges just reaching Warburton, with two blown tyres and mechanical difficulties that made the 7-hour drive even longer...

Schools:  Warakurna, Warburton, Wanarn, Tjirrkarli, Jameson, Blackstone and Wingellina

Students Participating: approximately 135

Programs Delivered:  Music, Sport (basketball, softball, athletics and organised games)

Highlights:

∙ Returning to Expo and seeing lots of familiar faces - for some Red Dusters, it was their fifth Expo!

∙ Working with the kids - many of whom had participated in previous years - to create another terrific Expo song, ‘Spinning', that was uplifting and unifying

∙ Learning to play ‘Chasing Tails', with both kids and adults getting a great workout

∙ Getting to know community leaders, who were actively involved in the event and very welcoming
