"Connecting those who can with those who can’t" The Vodafone Foundation Australia was established to help our business and our people to invest time expertise and funding back into the communities and the environment in which we live. The Foundation was set up in September 2002 as a tax exempt Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) and is comprised of a Board of Directors, an Advisory Group, a team of Partner Managers and team of 3 full-time employees. The Foundation’s creation follows the establishment of the Vodafone Group Foundation, which ensures a globally co-ordinated approach to social investment activities conducted through local foundations, such as the Vodafone Australia Foundation. The Vodafone Foundation Australia (the Foundation) is a registered charity that was established in 2002 to enable our community investment program in Australia. The Foundation’s purpose is to empower youth and our people to better their community. The Vodafone Foundation Australia has a vision to be the ground breaking Foundation that delivers innovative youth based projects and Red Dust is a cornerstone of the fulfilment of this vision. Our technology has exciting applications and the innovation and creativity of our relationship has helped us develop a web and mobile phone linked communication tool that we believe will play a huge role in creating positive change by connecting young indigenous people to their heroes. Our employees are an important resource for our partnership and spend time supporting Red Dust Role Models during community visits and bring the passion of their volunteering back to our organisation through the telling of their stories. We are committed to providing access to possibilities and by supporting the Red Dust Foundation and Red Dust Role Models we are proud to be playing a part in improving the health and well-being of indigenous youth.
