Reconciliation Week saw Red Dust reach a new milestone. It was the first time we hosted our own Matched Giving Day, a fundraiser that saw every dollar donated doubled, thanks to our Partner Evans & Partners. The goal was set, raise $42,000 in one day. Spoiler alert, it was a success, and we achieved what we set out to do. How'd we do it? The troupe was rallied, endless calls were made, text messages sent, and relationships with our staunch supporters revisited. On hand to offer his support was Red Dust Ambassador Dane Simpson who stepped up as the voice for the campaign, joining reconciliation workshop gatherings, meeting with journalists, radio hosts, and (unintentionally) a famous ex Wiggle. A big thanks to Mick Malloy from Triple M, Glen Morrow from Triple R and The Project for helping us spread our message.

What Does This Donation Mean?

This one-day campaign was an opportunity for Australians to amplify their support, with every dollar donated matched 1:1 — doubling the impact and helping Red Dust extend its reach to more young people, families, and schools in remote regions.

The money that was raised allows Red Dust to continue hosting programs in remote communities across the Northern Territory, and provides on-going support to our incredible team of staff who pour so much into providing the services we currently do. Red Dust Role Models has been working alongside remote communities for over 30 years, delivering programs co-designed with Elders and local leaders that promote health, education, cultural strength, and wellbeing. We want to ensure that the relationships Red Dust has built over the last three decades remains strong and continues to have impact.

Every $1 Goes towards building a future we can all play a role in shaping together.

Every $25 Helps mentor a young person.

Every $50 Provides young people an opportunitity to express themselves.

And $250 Employs a local role model in a remote community.
